I spy with my little eyes a canvas in my attic that I painted in the mid 90's! I started thinking, why was that a one time thing? Then I had an "Oprah"moment! You know when you go back to something you enjoyed doing in your youth and remember how much you enjoyed it! Oprah had an episode years ago talking about remembering what you did as a young girl ages 9-12 years old. Think back to what brought you happiness at that age & then revisit it as an adult. I was always creating and designing. Whether it was making cardboard sandals with shoe string laces that wrapped all the way up the leg for everyone that would let me or cutting my own patterns and sewing Barbie clothes, after I created my own Barbie dream home! This moment in time was way before cell phones & social media! I was lost in a world of imagination! But...this particular canvas was painted when I was in my mid 20's. I can remember sitting and painting, being in sheer bliss working with all the colors. Life is all about exploring our passions & not being afraid of the end result. We have to start somewhere....it's all about baby steps! Maybe soon, I will give it a try again as I remember it was relaxing and made me happy! Extra bonus, I love when I come across pictures of my husband and me posing in front of the canvas!!
